Our Christian Parenting Blog and Books
Hi! I’m Christina Dronen, a Jesus-follower, writer, wife, and gentle mama. I’m the author behind our Christian parenting blog as well as several Bible study discussion guides on parenting. We also have contributions from other Christian parenting bloggers on this site.
This blog is for Christian moms and dad who are looking to center their families around Jesus. We believe all scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). More importantly, we believe that all of scripture is intended to lead us to the person of Christ.
Successful Christian Parenting
Successful Christian parenting is centered on Jesus – not the parents, not the kids, and not the pressures of the surrounding culture. Honestly, this blog is counter-cultural. We aren’t mainstream and we aren’t out there rehashing old axioms and philosophies.
We start with the foundation that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the model of how we are all called to live and engage with each other. For parents, this means we pull the plank out of our eyes, before trying to pull the splinter out of our children’s eyes.
Following Jesus means that we don’t tell our children “Do as I say and not as I do.” Instead, we live in a way that allows us to say along with the apostle Paul, “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ” (I Corinthians 1:11).
Please join us on this journey to discover what it means to parent in Christ. These books and blog posts are written to inspire thought and discussion, not to dole out rule and formulas.
A Community of Christian Parents
And it’s not just about me. Gentle Christian Parenting is a made up of many resources to help you mold yourself and your family after Christ. We are here to encourage you to follow in his humility, patience, peace, and gentleness as you parent.

This Christian parenting blog provides Christian advice for new parents. We also have another blog for Finally Family Homes . Finally Family Homes is the ministry I and my husband started for children transitioning out of the foster care system. There you can find help with leading your teens and young adults to connect and succeed in life.
